NATIONAL YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE // RCMP

SEPT 2019 - PRESENT

Selected as one of 20 members across Canada to represent the national youth voice in topics of crime and victimization.

Participated in bi-weekly conversations surrounding issues relevant to youth in Canada, such as sexual consent, cyberbullying, and cannabis legalization.

Provided feedback to aid the RCMP’s development of effective youth strategies.

Appointed to represent the pharmacy department within a week of joining the company. 

Appointed as chair and secretary within a month of joining the committee. 

Acted as the liaison between members of staff and company management to ensure positive workplace culture

One of 12 selected collegiate members across North America to help improve the Fraternity’s operation and structure.

Collaborated with collegians to evaluate the Fraternity’s initiatives including educational training, events and conferences, technology, communication tools, and member materials.

Provided valuable feedback regarding new or ongoing Fraternity affairs as well as insight to the collegiate experience.

Our Vancouver Community Board has donated $10 million since 2005 to over 798 grassroots projects, charities and organizations.

Reviewed grant applications that best represented youth focused initiatives in deserving B.C. communities.

Facilitated the distribution of $1,000,000 donated annually by TELUS Vancouver to local, grassroots initiatives in the Lower Mainland.

Conducted onsite visits to the awarded charities and participated in cheque presentations.

VICE PRESIDENT MEMBERSHIP EXPERIENCE // UBC SORORITIES

NOV 2017 - NOV 2018

Advocated for women’s issues, UBC issues, and issues of equity & inclusion in accordance with UBC Sororities and Panhellenic organizational values.

Identified key issues and concerns within UBC Sororities and hosted Town hall events to listen to and address grievances.

Created new programming for the 800 members alongside the Sexual Assault Support Centre and Sexual Violence and Prevention Response Office on topics including bystander intervention and disclosure training.

Drafted a Sexual Violence and Prevention Response Action Plan on the organizations intended steps to address such an issue.

Acted as a liaison between the UBC community members, UBC administration and Inter-Fraternity Council.
